Fireside tails

After a lovely walk to see the seals, cat fur glowing ginger on the cliff path, there is nothing better than to curl in the prime position, like a china cat on the mantle piece, above the fire.

And as the night dawns and the daylight fades the fireglow brightens and we all gather to its dancing flames.

A cozy way to spend a late autumn evening. And under such a lovely painting too.

Lovely cozy looking scene - and I loved the photos in the last post. Been away over the weekend so didn't have chance to comment.

Such a lovely cozy and "old fashioned" scene. Old fashioned because the fire places over here are humungous and most of the time they are not used. We do use ours on a cool damp evening in the winter, but honestly that only amounts to a couple of dozen days. It's also powered by natural gas. Kids over here don't even know what coal looks like. I'll be back blogging if my back holds up until the weekend.

What did those naughty cats get up to while you were away? They don't appear to have mastered taking photos of themselves....or have they? Photgraphic evidence required. xx

While She was away we were very good cats. We took Al for a walk and caught him a mouse for his breakfast, and we woke him up at 5 in the morning, though he did not seem pleased by this. And we sat on him and let him stroke us while he watched a film. But She took the camera with her so we could not take photos, which is ashame, because Al was looking very handsome with his very short hair cut that the lovely Lady Debs did for him. It is like cat fur.
