We live with Martha, the Old One, teller of stories and ginger too, and Max who for many years has made his living as an artists model and rat catcher, a fine tabby cat, dark and dangerous. And we share with Kiffer the Pale, strange cat with his head on one side and only six lives left, and Bella, Floss and the show stealing puppy, Rosie. But we are the House of Ginger.

Catnip mice are wonderful presents. I have found them tucked under my pillow, in my shoe, "drowned" in the water bowl. Especially for indoor cats such as mine, they are fascinating.

Oooh, how fun! Which of the ginger kitties is this one? He/She looks like a teenager!
What lucky cats, catnip mice are so much fun to play with! But you might like to tap Her gently with paw and whisper that the lovely orange dust on Her exotic flowers can make cats very sick indeed, should they happen to get it on their fur and then lick it off. My Her cuts them off before I can chew them because I like eating flowers :)

This is a message for two legs ...those lilys can make us very sick.
Sorry ...I've just seen someone else has given a warning so Ginger Ones ...steer clear of those flowers no matter how much you want to eat them.
Also MM ...where else would one put a mouse except in a water bowl. purrs Sid
Luckily for me none of the cats have ever been remotely interested in lilies. I love the flowers, but love the cats far more. They are completely entranced by the catnip mice however. Thanks Lynda, you old drug pusher you!

That always looks cute! In Saki's story 'Tobermory', Clovis thinks of bribing the cat with sugar mice... I think catnip mice might be more reliable!!
Presents are wonderful! Especially when there is nip involved!!
We have a slab table like that too!! It holds the heat very well. I enjoy cleaning my pants on it to the PM's dismay. Apparently it is for edibles and dishes, not felines.
