The Ice Moon
The moonlight is blurred and softened by snowfall flurries, pale in a dark sky. The world is hushed and we can hear no surf sound or sea music, no dog bark or bell toll. Mice and birds are snug in small places, curled against cold and as we walk around the bounds of our home in the still of the night the smallest flakes of snow fall and tumble around face and whiskers. Even the fox bark is hushed on this night. The water is thickened by the cold but not yet ice. The snow blows and circles around but does not yet cover. The world here seems to be waiting. This is the month of the Ice Moon, and behind the clouds she is growing. Maybe tomorrow night she will shine from a clear sky onto a landscape of silver ice.

I've just been out in the garden too, watching the cats play, explore, chase a falling flake, the still silence is welcoming, little black patterns emerge in the grass showing where they have been.
A time for cats snuggle warm and dream moon dreams.
It's been surprisingly warm here. It's snowing in Wales?
Stay safe and stay warm in this world of coldness.
Here in Loughborough it was snowing thickly yesterday. Now most of it has gorn, but hopefully there will be more... I cannot believe I said that!
It looked gorgeous and I could not help but laugh walking through it for sheer joy. I am getting young again in my old age!
Though we have beautiful daytime weather, the nights have been cold -- for us! -- in the low fifties. But we have had a beautiful moon for several days. Looks like a teacup waiting to be filled. It's on its back.
