Telling tales, of walking in wild places, of painting, of sleeping in warm places and of mice and other things....

Prowling around the wreckage
Outside the house looks strange. No roof, open to the wind and rain. Inside it makes a good climbing frame. Up the stairs, covered in rubble and dust, and in the corner of the roof there is a small and secret way that only a cat ( or a rat) could find, into Her studio. It is cold.
Goodness those are dramatic photographs, to think she is still painting though all of that going on, I am sure you gingers will take it all in your stride and I expect it will be lovely in the end.
Oh, my Gosh!!! I hope it's worth it!! I had renovations done and my boys (cats) stuck together wherever they could, but at least they had a roof!!!! Good luck! (P.S.The word verification is 'mizira' - close enough to misery!!)
What a mess! that poor sad chair, looking like it's washed up on the shore after a big storm. I guess you guys can't live in that part of the house at all. I'm sure it will be lovely when it's done, but i bet She can't wait for it all to be over and done with.
omg...i don't know if i could handle all that mess and noise and rubble. you gingers seem to be holding up pretty well. hopefully things will be back to normal soon?
Oh you poor things-to have no roof! We are in pembrokeshire in a couple of weeks for a holiday if I see it I will send it right back home! Love Lyn xxx
Whoa! thats some major work going on there! Ugh - hope it gets finished soon and you get a lid back on your house, must be very strange and unsettling - besides cold, wet and dirty!
OMG!But, you gingers are having a whale of a time hey? I hope you are not having too much rain until the roof gets back from it's hols lol! Sandie (Sandie's Patch)
Your home is looking very unsettled for both cats and people. Please, dear cats, don't go exploring and get boarded up into part of the new roof! The sad fact of renovating is that one usually has to do way more than planned. I hope there are still a few warm dry places to curl up and have tea.
wow! those are impressive photos-when She remodels, She does it right. i am suitably impressed that with all of th disarray She can create such beautiful images! hurry, hurry with the roof.
When first we started there were four of us, all ginger, and Max. Time has passed. The ginger pride are ghost cats, appart from Elmo. Now the house holds Max, oldest, tabby farm cat, dark, usually found sleeping on a cushion, Elmo, last of the Gingers, beautiful handsome and wonderful who still walks to the high hill top. And now there is Baggage and Bundle, silver mischief in sharp clawed kitten form. The adventures continue.

An award for bravery seems due!Or perseverance, at the very least...

Crikey, She is rich! I wish I was rich enough to send my roof away to have the gutters cleaned!
Oh dear! There is not roof! I hope you get a nice new roof soon! I love having a roof, and I am sure you do too.
