Sunshine on the kitchen table

The house is inside outside upside downside and all in a middle of muddles. Sofa in the kitchen, kitchen table in the garden. What is going on?

Pixie went to the vets and is not too bad and had an injection, but doesn't like being in the car. She has a runny nose and is using her tongue as a hankie.

NB. Mug by Gwili Pottery, Carmarthen.

  2. (sigh) wouldn't life be simpler if our tongues were so multi-purpose?

  6. Gwili pottery in Wales, handpainted mugs. Lovely ceramics, website doesn't make enough of the exuberant colours in the design and great because you can leave your dirty washing up around and it looks like art!

  7. Followed the link to the pottery and found another beautiful world. I'm a firm believer in dishes as art.

Cats too. I hope that Pixie is on the mend.

  10. I worry about Pixie and her recurrent sniffles--she is a sweetheart and a droll "voice" for the cat family.

  11. Look at that sunshine. England --or Wales -- in the sunshine. Sounds perfect. We have a hot (for us,because we are on the coast, in the 80's) weekend coming up. It's time. My Jacaranda tree is a month late in blooming.

Special gentle purrs to Pixie from Bailey.

  13. Is that a tasty Welsh cake I spy there? If only we could join you for coffee and cakes!

  14. Is that cat eating flowers? I had a Siamese called Leah who would yank garden flowers from a vase, nibble them and moments later hork them up, wailing accusingly as though I were somehow to blame for serving indigestibles.

  16. we sure hope Pixie is feeling better soon. Our vet recommended L-Lysine to boost Fuzzy's immune system to help him conquer an upper respiratory infection...and it actually worked.

  17. Poor Pixie, hope she gets better soon. Upside down houses are always bad for cat nerves though aren't they? I'm sure things will settle down again before long:)

  19. Good to hear Pixie is doing okay. Pablo uses his tongue as a hanky as well. Maybe it's a ginger thing. Then again, Pablo's tongue is always out, and it would be a great waste to just leave it hanging there, idle.

  20. What a lovely day, cats and drinks in the sun. We are jealous, as our days are dark and grey, and clouds are full of rain.

  21. pixie, dear pixie, are you sure you aren't allergic to something that's around a lot? years ago, a friend adopted a cat that came in through my window. he was often odd and sickly and it turns out he was allergic to corn (which was in the too-elegant cat food the adopter was providing). no more odd and sickly after changing the vittles.
