This morning we travelled together, She and I, to Paris. The time was a time when lamp-lighters walked the twilight streets of evening. We wandered through streets, time travelled to a land underwater, to a place where corals and fossils were precious jewels, thieves and murderers darkened doorways, scribes compiled thick books with drawings of skeletons and feathers, where diamonds hid in mummies, to The Well of Birds.
Together we wandered through this world of richness, She in bed with coffee, me a ginger scarf, purring.
The Coral Thief.

What an adventure.!
What a lovely vision, Maurice, Reading in bed with Her... I have my own pillow now (she claims I was hogging hers - but I just like to snuggle in her hair, not steal pillows) and we read far into the night. Not as much reading in bed here as when she was a librarian and it was her job to read books!
I love the image of sitting in bed with coffee and a wondeful furry ginger scarf
ooooo...we'd like to go to Paris too. Molina went back to the resort. She was so, so homesick. And there are daffodils on the windowsill and the moss on the stones is very bright green just now. We smell spring in the garden, but nip back inside when the sun goes away because then it gets very cold again. Then we get to curl up on a rug by the fire or, if we're very good, we can take a nap on the big bed.
We love chatting with you -
We 11 little strays.

I love this line so much, it is almost edible
Thanks for taking us with you to Paris! Vivid description...
It sounds like a wonderful morning. Travel, coffee in bed and best of all, a handsome warm ginger scarf. And Paris! Which is, apart from where you live, one of the most magical places on earth. How lucky you both are!
Ahhh.... to travel all the way to Paris while still enjoying the comforts of home.... delightful!
Sometimes it's nice to travel without even leaving your bed...
A joy to read... transporting! :o)
