If it's a little boy blue eyes...perhaps a son to teach the ropes...and if I girlie...well, who knows! Can't wait to hear more...my vet told me, when fabulous felines lived with me over those many years, that when a new cat arrives, it is the current residents who require even more attention, a reassurance that they are the royal residents of the roost...but you know that. Oo, how wonderful.
They break our hearts, but we can't resist adopting another. We've found the younger the kitten when introduced to the household, the less antaganism roused in the older 'residents.'
i got a 3 month old female kitten when my 2 boys were 15 months old, they reacted far better than i thought they would to her! I kept her in a room for two days to get used to her surroundings and held her while the boys looked and sniffed around and saw me handling her. Then for two days i supervised playtime. I also have a glass door so i let them have a look through there too.. after 4 days they were the best of friends. One of my boys was a little grumpy with me but with a bit more fuss he was back to normal :) good luck, the little kitten is beautiful!
