A cat may look at a queen.

Pussycat, pussycat, where have you been?
I've been up to London to visit the queen.
Pussycat, pussycat, what did you there?
I frightened a little mouse under her chair!

  1. Several times over the years families of cats have come to live with us who could not stay really well due to either feline leukemia or some inherited frailty.
It is a hard thing when love, vet care, good food are not enough to sustain our pet companions.

  2. How funny, my mother sang that song with me, wonder where she learned it...
She also teached me " Three blind mice..", a bit strange song, not really peacefull, isn´t it!?
    (BTW she is German)

  4. A very royal cat indeed! Oddly enough, one that looks very much like the one who is sleeping between my knees at the moment -- only he's the emperor Pu An Yu. (His imperial majesty is having a rather energetic dream at the moment) I suppose a cat may look at an emperor, too.

  5. Beautiful piece! of course all cats are royalty.

We wonder how Pixie and Maurice are doing. And of course Mr Griffiths and Nadolig.

Could you let us know, please? We have been purring for them.

  7. This is such a beautiful picture.

I think my cats are princesses, but will soon mature into their queenly titles. They wish they could have crowns too.

  8. Greetings,

Your illustration if very, very good and not only because it portrays us felines as who we truly are. That pillow is a wonderful throne.

    Warmest regards,
    Miss Kitty and Egmont

  9. You are the most amazing artist Jackie, what with working on your nursery rhyme book to a deadline & finding time to paint this wonderful queen of cats as well as the birth of a new dragon last week!
