Early morning and we walk out at the twisting turn of light. Earth iron, water stone, so cold.
In the half light we hunt through the leaves made bright by a soft dust of snow.
And then the sun come up and the world shines with light.
As we head for home it would seem that Elmo carries some of the sunshine with him.
some how i came across your blog and i have read the whole thing now, a little each day. i love your cats ,dogs, children, art and stories. i live in a little town in minnesota near the canadian border. i have 3 13 year old persians,13 year old golden retriever and a 7 year old corgie. oh also 2 paraketes and doves in the summer as dad keeps them in the barn over winter. i just wanted to say hi and that i enjoy your walks with the animals. what beautiful country side you live in.
ReplyDeleteThank you, that was a beautiful walk with you and your friends.
ReplyDeleteIs that top photo Glyn's house? How is he doing these days? I would bet the kitties appreciated having fur coats today.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures, and love the sun captured in Elmo's fur. Seeing his house, how is Glyn?
ReplyDeleteI was thinking that same thing about Elmo's coat in the first picture of him. He is a gorgeous color, but don't tell him, he might become proud!
ReplyDeleteHmm, St Elmo's Fire maybe? Looks a very cold, bright morning. We've had them here too and now... we have snow!
ReplyDeleteCats are such wonderful companions for a walk--I think they are interested in everything we do.
ReplyDeleteFrom the white of Glynn's house to the fire red russet of autumn colored cats...lovely photos all!
