When the studio boss was out motoring through Long Melford yesterday she drove past a gallery and spotted a painting in the window - it was a heron on a glowing golden background!
Did your 'one who paints' do it? Give her a purrr from us :-)
the tabby and ginger studio assistants in Suffolk.
She is very talented. We love the whimsy of her art. It reminds us of our childhood and that imagination that life tries to beat out of us. We thank her for that.
Do you think, if we asked her very sweetly and said 'Please,' She would give Her purrmission to our Person to post pix of the jellicle mice and the stolen child on the burrow's walls, with a lynx back to Her blog, of course. Has She heard the wonderful song Loreena McKennitt has made of Yeat's 'Stolen Child?' ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q7TkyxVIfuk&feature=related ) Our maison has trois chats. Alas, none are ginger. However, the brindle cat who lives in the Outside has two kittens, a pibald black and white, and, yes, a ginger one (our Person calls it a "marmalade tabby.") It has been raining here for days, and threatens to rain for days more. We are worried that they are hungry and cold. We live in Texas. Our Person says it is very far away from Britain, with a lot of water in between, but that we can go there by interwebs whenever we like and stay quite dry. Or so she says. We will see. Rubs, Stormalinda Phogg-Foote, Jumpin Jaks and Gobi Gobotiputtitatti (who is Emperor Pu An Yu in mufti) chez The Owl Underground.
Beautiful!
ReplyDeleteLove it of course. They are beautiful, but then, she has beautiful models to paint from.
