Cupboards and shelves

The sun has shone on a windy day and She spent the day with the builders, painting walls while they stuck bits of wood to the walls, cat beds all, long ones and high ones and ones with doors. When they had all gone we inspected their work. All coming along nicely.

Glass by Julia Mills.

  4. This will be a lovely kitchen with warm cozy nooks for cats who want to be companionable.
It may take a bit to get settled, but hopefully it will be worth the weeks of mess and uproar.

  8. Cabinets are perfect cat beds ... especially when there's something else in them, like clean pots and pans, casserole dishes, or even china. Then, of course, they make the best beds.

  9. No Joanna, it is by a lady called Julia Mills and inspired by Her work from a long time ago. They have say in the house for many years and only just found their real home here in the new kitchen.

  13. It's looking marvellous Jackie!
The end must be in sight then?

My house looks a bit like a building site today - but that's just my two year old and my five year old running amock!
Though my two year old Elswyth has kindly managed to re-decorate almost every wall with felt tip and crayon!
Must be exciting seeing your house coming back together again...

    Best wishes and kind thoughts,
    Carrie...

  15. What beautiful stained glass and what a wonderful idea for a cupboard front - especially with the personal touch in the design.

Having lived in a building site on and off for 16 years when we were doing our farmhouse up, I can sympthise, but the mess and mayhem will come to an end, I promise . . .
