She is trapped in a book, so that instead of rising early She opened the bedroom windows and stayed late in bed reading. In we crept, to curl in company and snooze in sunshine.
We like it when She looses Herself deep in a book because then there is stillness, and moments like these.

We are waiting for a contract for the dreaming cat book and still hoping to find a publisher with vision who will take on something of the We Three to make a book that will be different. In the meantime we are in The Financial Times colour supplement on Saturday (15th?) and looking forward very much to seeing the photographs.
ReplyDeleteIn a far off land called Wisconsin, USA, a man trapped in a book about Wales (Urban Dreams, Rural Realities) stayed late in bed reading with the window open while a black and white tuxedo cat purred and kneaded on his chest. Parallel universe half a world away?
ReplyDeleteWhat a sweet napping kittycat! Meow!
ReplyDeleteThe Marley book sounds fascinating...no wonder She wanted to stay in bed and stay in that dream place. We'll have to look for you all in the Financial Times...and very much hope that a publisher will be found!
ReplyDeleteBooks and Cats, a wonderful combination.

I cant believe that not one publisher has taken up an option on your lives with the two legs. Dont forget to let us all know about the tv programme too ...if it is still being broadcast and when. .. or has my human missed it already.?
ReplyDeleteCat Woman with Joanna Lumley will be on in the UK in September, early we think, but not sure when. We will have to go to our neighbour's house as we have no television. But maybe we will just go for a walk instead.
ReplyDeleteThat is an utterly lovely photo. What sheer pleasure and contentment and what a beautiful face!
ReplyDeleteaw...how true...nothing better than curling up with a good cat! Or book! xxx
ReplyDeleteI love it when my kitties curl up with me. It's my favorite way to read a book.
ReplyDeleteThankyou for bringing us up to date on the book front.
ReplyDeleteNothing is more comforting than to share a good book with a cat--or several.
