Today when She should have been painting polar bears She has been helping us with our calendar instead. At the moment the calendar runs from July 2009 to December 2010. It shows pictures of us and has some words but few, and marks important days like our birthdays. It is A3, spiral bound, heavy, thick, beautifully designed by Jane.
As the year goes on it will change. She might do a little drawing of a cat on the front and sign it, but if She does She will have to practice first as She is not very good at drawing cats! You can order one by emailing Her. At the moment they cost £20 plus post in UK.
(Her email is on Her website on the menu bar top and bottom.)

I would love a ginger cats calendar, but I expect getting one to the USA could be a pricey venture. Dear cat, you are looking a bit elongated--is that from all your walking? I wonder if only cats with very clean paws are allowed on the drawing table...in my workspace there is cat hair on quilts in progress.
ReplyDeleteahh...the calendar is ready. i need to put my order in for one ^..^
ReplyDeleteyou look so lovely today.
Martha, you don't look very happy--you look like you don't feel well. Hope you are okay. We want to order one of the Ginger calendars but we live in the US and it would be very expensive. Our Person doesn't give us a very big allowance...

Hi-Love your work. Gorgeous cats. I'm a fan on facebook.
ReplyDeleteMArtha hasn't been very well and just had a dental at the vets. New lease of life and she hasn't stopped eating since. But she is old and part siameese, which shows more now she is older. Different family to The Darlings. They are pure and unadulterated Moggy.
ReplyDeleteglad to hear that Martha is feeling better.did she have to lose any teeth? our ginger tailess-one lost one of his fangs and now looks lob-sided.
ReplyDeleteMartha's just beautiful - I've never seen a pic of her before.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'd love to get a calendar - this is my favourite blog ever
:-)
I don't think I've seen a close up of Martha before--she does have the pointy Siamese face. Our dear mostly Siamese, Eggnog, had to have all her teeth removed at age 9--she promptly became quite portly.
ReplyDeleteIt's a funny thing that I discovered when I had my darling red Burmese - who lived to be eighteen and a half - that all "red" animals tend to have teeth problems. Or so the vet said.
ReplyDeleteI'd like a calendar Jackie. Can you e-mail me your address and say how much the postage will be? Then I can send you a cheque. What a treat!
Glad that Martha is well now and making up for not being able to eat much.
ReplyDeleteShe has a lovely face and makes a great artist's supervisor!
Well I think you are good at drawing cats even if they don't!
miss martha certainly wanted the camera to stroke her lovely gingerself! does her siamese-self show through in vocalizing?
ReplyDeleteOoo be cool to see what this is going to look like as I think I would love one!
ReplyDeleteno one is EVER going to do things well enough for a cat to approve!
