Oh dear!

We all used to laugh at Kath's dog Puzzle. Her tongue was so long it would hang out the end or the side of her mouth. Puzzle is Rosie's aunty. Now we see that Rosie has Puzzletongue!

Meanwhile as the dogs run on the beach we dream of walking and wait for sunshine.

  3. News of Glyn so far is not good I am afraid. He has not responded to the treatment that he has had so far, is still lost and doesn't know where he is, didn't recognize me last time I saw him, but came round to knowing who I am when we talked about the animals.
Very distressing to see him like this.
He is 86 years of age. I have lived next door to him for the last 17 years. I know so little about him. I so hope that the doctors can find what is wrong and bring him back to himself.

  4. I have always said that if I was going to get a dog it would be a Welsh Border Collie. This picture says why. What a beauty she is... albeit she has the stomach of a glutton!

Those are very comfy cats, makes me want to go back to bed just looking at them. Sigh, but I have writing to do.

  6. What a lovely picture!

I'm sorry I haven't visited for so long. I kind of "lost" you, but now I've found you again, yay!

Rosie, stop eating all those non-food items; you must be costing Her squillions in v-e-t bills, heh!

I hope it's not too late to wish you all a Happy New Year :) xxx

  9. I find it so wonderful that when when we reach close to our final years its not so much the people in our lives that takes the space in our memory but the animals that we have loved and lost.As this is my work and passion I see it time and time again. My own mum spent her finial weeks and days living in the past.Spending hours with old friends of the animal kingdom whose memories came to her.It wasn't unpleasant at all really. She seemed quite happy. You are a good friend indeed Jackie and my heart goes out to you. This is such a difficult time for family and friends.Animals always know when we need them most.Maybe they know this even after they pass and return to comfort us.(own personal thoughts and beliefs).I hope my dear past friends come to me in my time of need.Even if only in my minds eye.

  10. It is good that you say that as I have often thought that all the animals come to gather him up and take him with them, but mayb it is just to comfort him and see him through these difficult times. He is still no better, worse if anything, and Nadolig has gone to look for a warmer berth.
My cats always come to sit with me when I felt ill or when they think i have done enough reading or painting and should just be still and free of all but stroking them.
    Thanks for this.

  11. Yes Jackie , I believe they carry our worries and try to in their own way help us in more ways than we shall ever understand. They know our sorrow, quilt , happiness and worry.People who live their lives without the love and devotion of animals I think have not lived, or at best lived only a life half lived.I;m sure they are with him now.Communication in the animal kingdom in my opinion is much more advanced than we humans .Warm wishes from canada .
