The rain stopped, the sun came out and the song of the stream slowed to a trickle. In the dark of night we slept, Maurice dripping over the sofa,
Kiffer and Martha curled on a beanbag,
Pixie warm above the fire with a Bagpuss mouse held close, and
Rosie in the biggest dog basket, stretching her legs as long as long could be.
Oh you're so good at the sleepercises! I've been practicing the 'Fill up a whole chair' pose and my sister's doing the 'Get right deep down in a bean bag' position.
ReplyDeleteThe studio boss says she has spotted one of those posters 'the one who paints' talked about on Radio 4, it's in the photo above Pixie.

ReplyDeleteI love Maurice dripping over the sofa! And Kiffer having a sleepy-stretch... and Pixie looking suspicious at the mouse.
ReplyDeleteBut Rosie, with the tip of her tongue sticking out is a giggle!
They look adorable like that... and very comfortable.
We all stirred from our warm beds to check on Pixie. Seeing everyone sleeping so peacefully induced yet another nap. *Y-A-W-N*
ReplyDeleteIt is good to see that Pixie is doing well.
Oh so hard at work--a cat's work is never done! It is good to see Pixie looking fit (I am sure in part, due to her sleep exercises)! It looks like all the get well wishes worked.
ReplyDeleteTruly, only a cat can demonstrate the art of sleeping.
ReplyDeletePleased all is well again.
