..that there are some people who like to paint mice and some who like to paint cats. She seems to have itchy feet and can't keep still even though She has dragons to paint and cats to stroke. She is off again soon to make an exhibition of Herself in Bath. Well, really! At least this time She is sharing space with lots of other people who can colour in, and some of which quite like cats.
What!!!? You means she's having an exhibition with Rodney Matthews? Wow! He's been a major influence to me, I really wish I would live in the UK sometimes!
ReplyDeleteI love Paula's mice... and especially her tigers (I've had a soft spot for tigers since I was a kid). I must get Michelle's cats and Graham's Leon looks fab too.
ReplyDeleteI do life-modelling for illustration students and Graham's work shows exactly what the lecturer is talking about. High use of imagination and no limits.
And I love your dragons and cats too Jackie. My next pay cheque is going on some fabulous illustrated books... ahem, to go with the other hundreds of books I already have!
Ah..... I've just been reading the leaflet for the bath childrens literature festival.
ReplyDeleteAs well as your very own clever lady showing her paintings, I've also heard that another clever one, Cornelia Funke is going to be around, reading from her new book 'Inkspell'
Well well.. I thought I recognised those mice!
ReplyDeletePaula and I have met in real life too! :)
