Early morning light

In the early morning light Mr Griffiths next door was arleady up and about, a light shining from his window. We worry. Is he cold? The wind blows hard through his house and neither house nor man are young anymore.

As we neared the top of the hill the early morning sun made us glow. The sky still held tight to a few stars.

The sun came up like a glorious ginger fire. The frost held sway in corners, dusting bracken with white ice crystals. But the sky was on fire with daylight.
Distant hills. Planes writing lines on a pure, new day.

  3. Looks quite crisp but inviting. Do you guys ever have to trudge through the snow? It was -20 C this morning when I went out for my morning foray. I found out I can pee while running and I think it was frozen before it hit the ground.

  7. We visit Mr Griffiths every day and he feeds us and we see that he is ok. She does not. But when we walk past She always checks to see that his light is on and sometimes they will stop and talk. Bella goes round every day too and he misses her visits when the dogs are away.
She has a present for the old man in the white house so we will make Her take it round and see that he is well and not too cold.
We worry. He used to walk every day around the hill to talk to the ghosts of the people who lived years ago in the ruined village of Maes y Mynydd. Now he cannot walk that far, he only goes to the top of the hill and he cannot see very well. When we pass the village we give his love to the echoes and the memories that cling to the walls. We wonder if they miss him.
