In the early morning we found a pool of crystal dew in amongst the rocks. We drank the sweet water, so fresh and cool. Its scent was of magic and of the moon.
We waited on a high rock while She wrote things in a book in sunshine. Sometimes She stopped to look across the fields and heather. We found places where the sun would shine on our fur. All the time a pair of choughs called raucous song across the valley.
Forgive our ignorance...we believe we've looked through all the links on all of your sites, but are the kitties going to do their own childrens' book?
ReplyDeleteOr at least a calendar of days?
The sparse and magical prose combined with the photos are beyond-moving.
What a wonderful teaching tool to help young children learn to be not only humane with cats (and all critters) but also as enchanted with them as some of "us" are!
When I was in high school I found the Cats in the Sun (Greece) book and became obsessed with the images and the energies they evoked and invoked. I mounted the post cards and hung them all over my walls, in groupings. I have a similar experience when I view your ginger darlings blog.
"Domestic" cats are sacred in and of themselves, but when paired with your pitch-perfect writing and the topography...WOW.
And that's not just the pinot grigio talking. ;-)
So beautiful light color on the stones.
ReplyDeleteAnd great spot viewing the whole land.
I always like the photo you take.
That's so cool!
ReplyDeleteI wish I could teweport over to your pwace. It's so beautiful!
What beautiful marking your puss cats have!
ReplyDeleteOh my, I just can't get enough of your beautiful posts. The dew pool sounds delicious first thing in the morning, and all of that green grass and heather to romp in. My whiskers are green with envy!
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful and magical place in which you live! The photos of the cats are lovely, as are your beautiful descriptive words that go with those pictures. Thank you for these gifts. It is nice to know there are other ways of living than the "rat race" in which so many of us are trapped. It is a joy to visit your blog.
ReplyDeleteMom to BL&T
I wish I could drink some of the sweet delicious water. Sometimes I drink from the bathroom faucet. The water tastes tickle-y because it moves.
