Hide and seek

In the wind tangled corn field, and on the high rock above the blue sea, we played hide and seek.

Wild geese fly over head, like arrows in the sky. Swallows gather on wires. Rosehips glow red in the garden and the last of the honeysuckle cascades in a waterfall of flowers. Spiders spin last desperate webs to catch the fading flies of summer and bats fly frantic in twilight. Soon it will be time to light the first fire of autumn.

Various positions

Today I am making a study of the science of sleep.

Sometimes it is difficult to tell which end is which.

And Rosie has been taking some sleeping lessons, tired out from searching for some sunshine.

New Proverb

Proverbs flew around the catblogosphere like so many swift winged birds. Meanwhile, here in Wales we discovered where Tom was finding fish. Have checked out form of transport, surf boards and have a new proverb.

If the fish won't come to the cats
Then the cats must go to the fish.

So, little fishes in the sea, now it is time to beware of me.

OK. Who ate my tail!

A small lizard, sloughing its skin, was found in the house by two cats. All it could say was, "have you seen my tail? Elmo kept very quiet, but looked a little sick.
So Maurice and Pixie tried to help the lizard look for its tail. At least that is what they said they were doing when She came along and rescued the poor creature. Meanwhile I was trying to get some sleep. These gingers are monsters!

Heads and tails.

Or, tails and......

....heads!

Or heads and tails. Tom's been fishing again. We love Tom! Mmmmm... fresh fish off a golden plate. What could be better.
