Lovely picture. Cats take up so much room in our hearts, but they make our hearts bigger too. Thank you for continuing to share yours with us.

My very favorite from your blog. Such precious boys.

I believe Kat is absolutely correct - I do not believe cats and humans were ever meant to live separately. They truly do fill a heart with love. LOVE this photo!

Many thanks to you Jackie to continue sharing the ginger family's story, even if... This lovely photo of Maurice and Elmo like arm in arm, brothers forever, is simply wonderful.
Like Pumpkin, i think to Maurice everyday and say him goodbye everynight, when looking at the dark sky. He is surely one of those little stars.

Jackie, you know this notion of the cats walking the grassy paths has come to mean more to me than just "the daily walk". Still I never would have imagined that you were able to witness a sight like this. It's wonderful!

This brings a tear to my eye but whether from sadness or joy I cannot say.
Our thoughts are with you all.

The two coats, just a shade different; the two tails, as different as two orange tails can be. How lovely.

One of the sweetest pictures I've ever seen.
Yes, I agree with Georgia, it needs to be immortalized with your talented hand.

This is the photo I saw when I happened upon your blog several years ago, and it hooked me; if I only have time to check in on a couple of blogs, yours is one of them. I emailed your link to so many of my friends who also love cats so they could see this magical picture. Hugs to you.

What a beautiful image of the two boys together! It is so sweet to see their little gestures of love and companionship while they're together. I'm sure Elmo misses his brother. Cats do mourn in their own little way... he will be looking for him for quite some time... a lapse of memory that something had happened... they understand, but then don't understand, he went away, but he might come back...

It is a blessing how they possess no sense of mortality...

What a beautiful picture. No words needed to understand the bond between them. About a year after Monkey passed on, I was looking at pictures of him on my laptop. One large picture of just his face attracted his old companion Miao and she literally ran over the desk to the laptop and sniffed the screen. Her disappointment that it was not really him was quite evident, but it proved to me that they don't forget. Elmo, Pixie and Max will always remember him.

I was saddened to read your post.
It was a beautiful cat, by the images he saw in nature, peaceful, happy. A privilege to see them.
Some time ago that I have no my beloved cat. The most important is the respect I felt for her,for me it was a very special relationship.
As you say I also hope more cats in my life and my memories.
Forgive the audacity, good luck.

Similar to earlier posters above: I have followed this blog for a few years - the only one I've felt compelled to return to.
The 'tail hug' photo is beautiful.
God bless xx

Beautiful cat brothers. We still miss our sweet ginger boy Tinsel after many years. He too was special.
Lost our dear tabby girl last year-still hurts.
Take care,
