There are times when the cats move aside and let me blog. This is one such time. They are all lazy and draped over furniture, warm by the fire while outside rain hammers down.
Today I was sent a photograph of a book. It was only when I looked properly at the photo I saw that the book in the photo, 'Talk to the Tail', is dedicated to Jeanne Francis, and Kiffer.
Beautiful Kiffer. He wasn't here with us for long. He loved Tom Cox and would happily have set off on adventures to Norfolk with Tom. I wish I had let him go.
The cats and I are very proud and pleased that he has a book dedicated to him, especialy as, if it is anywhere near as good as the last one, Under the Paw, it will be a very fine book indeed.
Sad, but lovely looking through photos of Kiff. He was a good cat.

It's bittersweet, isn't it? Such a lovely cat and fond memories, but you still miss him. I mailed a card to Glyn yesterday. Now, I wish I'd sent you one. You and the pack and the pride are in my thoughts. Oh, and Glyn and Nadolig!
I'm feeding Nadolig again at the moment as Glyn is in Havenhurst in Milford Haven, being warmed up and looked after. Nadolig is a hardy little cat and comes twice a day for food.
Love the photo of Kiffer and Tom Cox.
Cats! They come and go in our lives but, never leave our hearts and minds do they?
Looks like a lovely book to read and treasure.
Hugs,
Sandie xx
Bittersweet, indeed. No matter how many cats share our path, each one is remembered fondly and warmly no matter how long it's been since they left. And I cried when you lost your Kiffer as if he was my own--the Ginger blog makes us feel like we know each one personally.
Thanks for posting the lovely photos of Kiffer the Bold.
Pale Kiffer, who ushered in the House of Ginger, it's good to see your photos again. My Winnie would lie on my chest exactly as shown in the first photo, so I know how good that feels. Jackie, I plan to read the books you mentioned over the holidays, thanks for the tip.
Kiffer, what a beautiful boy. I am sure he knows he has a book dedicated to him, the cats will send the good news on the wind.
thinking of you all.
love

Yes, bittersweet.
All the cats that have passed through my life still tangle their tails around my heart.
A beautiful cat too and a funny cat... sleeping with his paws in the air!! He looks fabulous and he still lives so long as you remember him.
What a wonderful way to have Kiffer's memory alive. Sweet Kiffer.
What a handsome cat he was!
I understand you really, i´ve lost 5 cats in the last 9 years. One off it, Waldi, was only 6 weeks with me and then...came a car and he died.
Any off my lost cats i love ever and i miss forever.
Excuse my funny english, i am from germany.
Greetings samsch
Nobody forgot Kiffer and Martha too, dear Jackie, they both are in our hearts forever.
As Donatella, i am going to send a Christmas card to Mr. Griffith and sweet Nadolig.
Please give the ginger family, cuddles for me, from Brittany.
With all my love,
Veronique
They do worm their way into our hearts, don't they. Each one is so unique and individual and irreplacable.
Beautiful Kiffer. I love the shot of him with his feet up in the air.
Kiffer lives on -what a wonderful legacy!!!
I also had a sniffle over photos of those I had loved & lost, then wrote my Christmas cards.
Donatella - thanks for the reminder to include Glyn & Nadolig!
Szép fotók! Szeretem a cicákat!
So sweet and loving of you. I like what Donatella had to say. It's a good thing that missing a loved companion hurts, this way. I think it indicates how much love these creatures felt when they were still with us.
I loved Kiffer, how gracious and lovely that Tom made him the dedicatee of the book.
Bless his Kiffer and his lovely ginger heart.
