There have been a few evenings of fires, just small ones. Woodsmoke and warmth.
And at last She has started work on I Am Cat. Just a few tentative drawings to begin, and She has too much to do in time for work to go to a book fair.
By day we catch the last of the warmth of summer, lying curled in the garden in patches where the sun still throws down her shawl for us to sleep on. In the evening, as the dark comes in, we gather on the sofa and wait for the strike of the match. And all the time we watch.

Nice that you are busy but, still have time for the Gingers!
Looking forward to the book!
How's Glynn and Nadolig?
Take care, keep cosy.
Sandie and the kitty cats xxxx
So much to look forward to! Beautiful sketches.
Remind everyone to send birthday greetings to Glyn. Sent mine from the US the other day.
Glyn has had so many cards and a parcel or two. Hs birthday is 26th Sept and he seems to be doing well and Nadolig is fine and dapper-dandy.
Dogs visit Glyn every morning and sometimes t night if he forgets to shut the door.
From the look of hte clever sketches She has been observing you well, even when you feel neglected.
May your autumn days have many sunny places in the garden.
Sounds quite nice. I just had a rough day at work and this post helped. I don't know why, but I think I will sleep well tonight thinking of those cats in the sunlight shawls.
Thanks,
Kat
Your drawings are beautiful!
Greetings Ginger darlings,
I like your new masthead and the picture of you among the, what a minute, is that cat nip you are next to? Oh my god . . . you must be in heaven.
Yah your right, autumn has certainly arrived. Nights are cooler, as are the days, at least the humans cuddle with us.
Enjoy your Sunday,
Miss Kitty
One of the feral cats in the neighborhood, the brindled one, had two kittens -- a ginger one, and one that bears a remarkable resemblance to Nadolig.
Stormie sez, Better keep an eye on her and don't let her give away any of our secrets!
Love the ginger in the purple flowers. I saw that jpg name is catnip - is that what the plant it?
I have a sketch very similar to the kitty curled up. She was laying in a baby doll cradle in the sunlight. I took a picture and my hubby had it sketched for me. I love it. My kitty passed away a few years after that and it reminds me so much of my sweet baby every time I walk by. She's in her favorite place and position in the sunlight forever.
we doo pawsitively adore your blog, dear pussins!

Love the photo.I have a patch of catnip in my garden too, and a neighborhood Ginger comes and relaxes in it. He keeps all the other neighborhood cats away from it.
It's really cool to see your sketches. I hope we get to see more of the progress of the book.
Ariel P. Cat is walking on the keyboard, purring greetings! we are both thoroughly enjoying reading about the ginger cats' adventures & seeing your beautiful drawings!
Jackie, I have a card for Glyn and now now address ... I promise that if you'll share it one more time, I'll not lose it again ..
Thanks,
Ricka
I have a little "cat" humor on my blog this week.
I see that the Ginger One is dawdling very close to the catnip..... I expect the scent is particularly enticing on a warm, sunny day.
I`m looking forward to your new book.
Those are lovely drawings of your cats! I especially like the one squished up into a ball.
O Ginger Tribe -- we thank you for your blog, and will be back to confer with you often. (Our She has gone to wipe Her glasses and blow Her nose, for some reason.)
