Thoughtful

On top of the wood pile is the new place of choice for a cat to sit and think, about life, love and the persuit of happiness.

Elmo's looking very pensive there.

I'm always intrigued to notice the spots that my cats take over as their own. Usually not where I would like them to be, but it is difficult to argue with a cat.

And a window view too! He looks very comfortable given he's on a log-pile!! I have never worked out how they do that.

Apparently, there is a particular spot of optimal snoozing space on the floor at the intersection of the hallway, the entry and the front room. The black one returns to it unerringly day after day. I have photographic proof.

My first Siamese always slept on our wood pile too. He was usually so deep in sleep that he would snore and when we would find him, we always said "Yep, Benjamin is sawing wood again" !! Have the Gingers taken to sleeping on such an uncomfortable spot ??

Ah, cats ... always deep in thought, inscrutable in expression, reserved geniuses who keep their ideas to themselves!

Stunning shots, really.
Willow is still one to jump from the microwave up to the top of my spice cabinet. I wonder if/when she will realize it is terrifying!

And perhaps catch a mouse if there happens to be one in there!

Oh I just love your ginger cats! I also have one that color, but he is a Maine Coon cat. You can see him on my blog. I have always loved that color and it seems they are always sweethearts. Nice blog. Marcy

Ah, our Ginger Boy came to us via a wood pile. A wild one, he lived on the food we fed during the winter and slept on the wood pile under a tarp, at night.
Six months to tame him but what a topaz jewel he was!
