The cats prowled around the room like a fierce and ginger pool of tooth and claw.
Cats: Hungry hungry hungry.
She: I fed you all an hour ago.
Cats: No. Hungry hungry hungry.
She: I did. You can't fool me.
Cats: No, Hungry hungry hungry. That was yesterday. Today, no. Hungry hungry hungry.
She: You, cats, are fat as butter. I fed you an hour ago. ow go away.
Cats: Huh! Fat as butter indeed. And you should know! Lithe we are, and beautiful. Go look in the mirror!

That sounds like my house, only there's only one pusscat, but she's a noisy one.
Depending upon which part of the day this happened, I assume you either wanted "second breakfast" or "double dinner". That is totally normal!
I sometimes ask for supper from the tall one when me and my tabby sister have already finished the supper served by the studio boss - don't tell :-)
I think I'm filling out my ginger cat suit quite nicely... it's still a bit baggy under my tummy though.

That sounds like my cats. Just add me getting a sharp claw from the one and it would be the same.
I sometimes find Henry yowling IN the cupboard where his food is kept, even though I've latched the door. Clever thing.
Cat wisdom. Never fails to make me laugh outloud!! Good to hear from you all.
I love your blog. Your photographs are amazing and I love to see the cats walking together with the sun on their backs. I have a cat-sitting service in the Ottawa, Canada area and have 6 cats of my own that are always standing at the food bowls too. I have learned to rise above it. Some are a bit tubby. If you would like to see my cats and follow my cat-sitting tales, I would be happy to share with you. Deb
And do not forget the soulful eyes and the gentle but meaningful swipes at your ankles with tails erect-they have the act down pat-Angie
Ginger cat of my aquaintance perfected getting three suppers by telling helpful neighbour that person 1 was out and hadn't fed him (person 1 having come home, fed and gone out again), then telling person2 that neither person 1 nor helpful neighbour had fed him. This went on for several weeks whilst person 1 was very busy until ginger cats expanding wasitline gave the game away.
Queen cat.. boss of the bunch has been known to grab hold of an earlobe and pull ...just waking you up in the small hours..to let you know I'm really hungry and getting desperate...(and this is from a cat who is so round she could roll)
(Dau b.Kate says don't let the Ginger ones know about the biting as it might give them ideas)
Sounds like my house! When I'm home they start early. What do they do when I'm at work?
I am cat, I don't fuss like the d-o-g-s do. They hop up and down like rabbits, outrageous! I simply speak right in her face, that's all I need to do.
Oh the poor kitties; starving they are. I can see it, don't you know that paunch on their bellies will tighten up if they are the proper weight. I tries to tell my mommy too.
Grate image!

One of our sweeties meows if she can see a speck of the bottom of her bowl..while she's eating!
The British one has started buying me treats, in a crinkly sounding bag. She complains I try and trip her, when she is opening anything sounding remotely similar, but what if it WERE the real thing, and I didn't ?
She may STOP and I would have to hunt for treats once again.

Now that completely rings a bell. All circling my legs, one coming up to but my nose with a big head, another one to lie on my computer (I obviously have he wrong priorities) and a few assertive and by no means vague comments from the two girls.
Fat as butter?!! They have Olympic sleeping to do, they need all that er, stored energy.
When they can only manage a bronze in the Olympic Sleeping event, they will blame rations... big rations, but rations nonetheless!
Poor kitties!
It's the indisputable duty of a cat minion to never question the demands of the Supreme Beings.
... and serve sliced lightly smoked turkey around the clock...
So Say the Lair Cats
Greedy puscas - they are all the same... xxx
Ah, hungry cats MUST be fed, so the Gingers pursue food not in vain... our Bengal kitten George has an insatiable appetite (and spends most of her time parked in front of the fridge, using "Bengal talk" to bribe humans for milk).
Hilarious cats! And cute to boot. At least you're never lacking for interesting conversation...
The 'patch clan are just the same...although where my heads' at these days it could have been yesterday when they had meat! But, then there's always the dogs' dinner and biscuits....
We have a large dark grey stray tom who WILL insist that ALL strays have 2nds and if they are good, then THIRDS!
All furries are the same... eternally hungery and since they live only in the moment, never remembering the last meals! My own blonde gingers no less!
Ha! You all had the PM laughing right out loud this morning. I don't know what she thought was so humorous, that is a truthful portrayal of things at our house too!
