It is interesting how the dogs and cats within a household work things out. Cats seem to have more imagination, dogs more a sense of habit---cats can be so aloof and above lesser mortals. I hadn't realized that Kiffer is a fairly new part of the household.
Rosie didn't want Kiffer to feel left out of the Society of Orange Squash! It's really nice that Bella has done such a good job of turning Rosie into a dog who's reliable and friendly around cats.
When first we started there were four of us, all ginger, and Max. Time has passed. The ginger pride are ghost cats, appart from Elmo. Now the house holds Max, oldest, tabby farm cat, dark, usually found sleeping on a cushion, Elmo, last of the Gingers, beautiful handsome and wonderful who still walks to the high hill top. And now there is Baggage and Bundle, silver mischief in sharp clawed kitten form. The adventures continue.

Rosie is squashing Mr Kiffer, now known as Captain Jack owing to the strangeness of his very being.
Ahhhh, Captain Jack, how perfect.Very much suits.
Mr. Kiffer does sound like a very interesting character!
Never a dull moment around the cottage I am sure!
