Night games

Outside the night is dark. The sky has more stars that there are cats in the world. A river of stars sweeps across the darkness. The Dark Night Moon does not show her face yet.

Inside, warm. A green tree with lights scents the house and we play the game of 'how many gingers can you fit on the sofa'. Today, four, and one over the fire.

Somebody has to mind the fire. Good for you, Martha.

wonderful cozy cats! stay warm, ginger darlings! would it be giving away a State Secret to ask how someone gets up on the fireplace mantelpiece, especially without knocking all the beautiful objects off?

Arm of the sofa and then a small leap, or to be more dangerous, straight up from the ground. Things do fly sometimes but more often these days that is Rosie f the strange appetite (caught practicing sword swallowing with the bread knife the other day!)

I'm very happy, cats, to see that you are keeping warm.

I wonder if you could ask Her to tell us in which Bath park the angel-with-ball can be found ?

We asked Her and She said the angel with the ball is in the park that goes down to the river. If you walk along the balustrade where all the tour buses go, by the back of the Guild Hall Market she is by the gates of the locked park. There is a bandstand there. She seemed to be waiting for someone to come play, but the gates were locked. Lovely wings. As cats we feel we could do with some like that.
For anyone who has no idea what all this is about have a look for the angel at

Thank you, sweet, fine and splendid cats, for that information. It will be very useful when I visit Bath in a few weeks' time.

She says to prowl into Mr B's bookshop which is in Quiet Street She thinks, behind Waterstone's anyway. There are some of Her paintings on the walls there, and the bookshop is indeed an Imporium of Reading Delights.

Five little gingers and one big blue. Lovely.

I hope Kiffer isn't lost down the back of the sofa, what with him slipping off the back. Still, at least his paws are just visible. They look lovely and comfortable.
