..and now it is night and we walk the bounds of the village, as we do every night, clockwise as withershines brings all kinds of things. The moon is bright, no veil of silk covers her light tonight and the sky a deep blue. Tonight Kiffer walks too for the first time with us through the moonlight, and races ahead and leaps onto walls. For the first time Kiffer sees his shadow, his moonshadow, belonging only to him. No light obscures the shadow cat as it walks with him.
Stars shine and all is good.

I am confused, on past posts Kiffer is a "she" this time the shadow is "his". Kiffer....are you a man-cat or a she-kitty?
Sometimes the cats let me take over their blog and this time it is to confess. When Kiffer first came to stay, after much reluctance to accept another cat into the household on my part, not wanting to risk upsetting what seemed to be a harmonious family, it was thought that Kiff was a she. Having spoken to the vet I am assured that he is not a she indeed. Called Kiffer on account of the strange, somewhat "kiffed" angle he holds his head at he seems to have settled in so well as to almost always have been here. And has been much amused by my confusion over his gender. He always knew he was a he, as did the other cats, it was just the stupid human who took a while to catch on!
A new set of paws to join in the wonders of the ginger cat tales. Looks like Kiffer has settled in nicely and been introduced to their adventurelands *!*
Geiger & Sporran agree that cats always know which is witch and which is warlock. The humans had us down as boys at first!
And kiffed or straight, you seem to be happy. That's good!
Ahhhh....a man-cat it is. It is great that he settled in so well, it has taken 9 years for my first male to accept and stop sparring with the ginger interloper at our house.
